Vienna calling 2 – Sachertorte a slice of Vienna

Well, for me there are only two cakes in the world worth to be mentioned in this Blog. This are the Black Forest cake and the Sachertorte.

So if you think about visiting the European Wine Bloggers Conference 2010 you should also consider a visit of the Cafe Sacher to give this delicous tart a try. You will never forget it

Mrs. Elisabeth Gürtler-Mauthner, the managing director of the Hotel Sacher has said once:

“Champagner goes very well with Sachertorte”

She might be right, but maybe we should make some nice foodpairing events by our own like “which wine and sparkling goes best with Sachertorte?
